This position will provide administrative support for the Human Resources office, including but not limited to: answering phones, screening calls, greeting visitors and serving as the first point of contact. The position will also manage the Assistant Deans calendar and task list, including arranging internal and external meetings and reviewing meeting notes to create meetings and tasks that need follow up. Additionally, this position will assist in developing and documenting best practice office processes and procedures, managing billing and invoice payments, updating the HR website, and maintaining the office supply inventory. The Administrative Assistant will be instrumental in planning and coordinating staff engagement events.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Strong planning and organizational skills
Strong computer application skills in Outlook, Excel and Word
Must present a professional demeanor and possess excellent communication skills, including proper grammar both spoken and written
Must be highly organized, demonstrate attention to detail and be self-motivated
Ability to anticipate and resolve issues
Strong writing and editing skills are essential
Experience utilizing Office 365 is highly desired
Previous work experience in an administrative role supporting a high-traffic, high-volume office
