H+Ms expertise spans media and community relations, multicultural marketing, publicity, events, media planning/buying, grassroots and experiential marketing, content creation and syndication, creative, digital and social media, sponsorship development and activation, and corporate/crisis communications. Founded in 2003, the firm is led by President/CEO Etienne Hernandez-Medina and Partner Jennifer Becerra who heads East Coast operations. H+M Communications is headquartered in West Hollywood, CA with offices in New York City,Miami, Mexico City (Mexico) and Madrid (Spain). Summary: The apprentice will support our our Promotions and Publicity team (Multicultural Entertainment Division). Responsibilities: * Participate in team brainstorms for upcoming campaigns * Support the team with media relations outreach (pitching) * Draft pitches for media, promo partners, journalists, and influencers * Research and update new Hispanic media and influencer contacts * Research trends within the TV/consumer/entertainment industry to better improve our pitch angles and strategies * Draft event recaps/campaign recaps * Maintain clip reports up to date; screenshot online clips and compile them into a PDF Binder (part of client reporting) * Update client reports with new coverage/placements * Draft and format press clips in an email format to send to client * Research events in the top Hispanic DMAs where the agency can promote our clients * Create screening and event directives for the agencys street team * Order event supplies and help create shipping charts for promotional items prior to grassroots events * Create internal schedules for press days, as well as talent schedules * Support the team with logistics needed for a PA tour or press day (booking cars, hotels, groomers, vendors) * Help track campaign budget and internal out-of-pocket expenses * Join weekly calls and provide call recaps/notes for the team; help create internal agendas Qualifications: * Eligible to receive college and/or course credit * Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business or English * The applicant should possess excellent writing and communications skills, be detail oriented, organized, personable and be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment * Fluency in Spanish (oral/written) * Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), as well as be Social Networking/Internet savvy H+M Recent Awards and Recognitions: * The Holmes Report: Top 5 Consumer PR Agencies in North America * Los Angeles Business Journal: Top PR Firms in Los Angeles * Los Angeles Business Journal: Top Minority-Owned Businesses * PRSA Silver Anvil Awards: Multicultural PR Campaign of the Year and Best of Silver Anvil Honoree * PRSA Bronze Anvil Awards: Word of Mouth Campaign of the Year * SABRE Awards: Social Media/Social Networking Campaign of the Year * In2 SABRE Awards: Non-Journalists/Influencers Campaign of the Year * PR News' Platinum PR Awards: Influencer Communications Campaigns of the Year * PR Week Awards: Multicultural Campaigns of the Year Job Type: Internship Experience: * Relevant: 1 year (Preferred) Language: * Spanish (Required) Work Location: * One location Save
