Frost Art Museum - Marketing & Communications Student Assistant/ 092 Florida International University Miami, FL Job Summary The Frost Art Museum has an opportunity for a student assistant to support the Marketing Department with daily operations including general office duties. Responsibilities will include related data entry and recordkeeping as well as setting up e-blasts, social media posts and collecting necessary information for the Museum's communications. The Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing Coordinator in the strategic planning of social media posts, communications disbursements, in addition to the preparation for exhibition openings and other museum events. Duties will also include: Accomplish marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Research artworks in museums collection and exhibitions. Write 500 word articles on artworks, events, and programming. Write content for social media platforms. Assists with updating museums archives of printed materials. Filing and scanning. Desired Qualifications Possess a strong sense of responsibility, organization and customer service skills. Knowledge of Windows, Mac, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with using Adobe Photoshop is a plus. Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships and work well in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Who May Apply Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study as part of their Financial Aid Award package. Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate.
