In support of this mission, Longwood University invites outstanding candidates to apply for a full-time position as Assistant Director of Campus Career Engagement. The Assistant Director will be responsible for student/alumni career appointments, presentations, programming, marketing, and on and off-campus events. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coach students and alumni in one on one career appointments- Train graduate assistants to provide career coaching to students- Train student staff in key themes and narratives for the office- Provide routine structures and oversight to ensure quality control and consistency of careerservices offerings- Develop process improvements to Career Services operational components- Consistent development and management of OACS partnerships with faculty, universityleadership, and the Student Affairs area- Prepare, deliver, and continually revise presentations- Collaborate with the Assistant Director for Network Events and Internship Services in connecting students with opportunities- Develop and manage a Career Fair Prep Week for Fall 2019- Collaborate with Assistant Director for Digital Communication to utilize social media and the Longwood website- Develop and maintain relationships with student leaders- Support and attend all OACS events and initiatives- Ensure Career Services presence in key university locations REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Higher Education Administration required orequivalent experience providing career services coaching to students either as a GraduateAssistant or undergraduate employee within a career services unit; or equivalent professionalexperience in human resources or recruitment- Experience delivering speeches and presentations to large audiences- Experience moderating group discussions, forums, and/or panels- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Commonwealth of Virginia benefits accompany this position.
