Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Mediate between the consumer / family and professionals * Provide Support / Advocacy for consumer and families * Complete SOC forms for every interaction with consumer / family * Be a member of the Family Team to empower families to meet their goals and objectives Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies : Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software. Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed. However with this position the State of Oklahoma does require an extensive background of the person applying for the Family Support Provider position. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
