BLKPRENEURSHIP is seeking Freelance Writers who are interested in writing continuous website and quarterly magazine content. The BLKPRENEURSHIP Website and Magazine is dedicated to uplifting, inspiring, and supporting Black Entrepreneurs around the globe. The qualified candidate must exhibit excellent coordination, organization, and communication skills, and must be capable of working with Content editors to finalize specific stories, angles, and sources. The qualified candidate must also be willing to work with a diversified team of individuals from various backgrounds in order to accomplish the mission and vision of BLKPRENEURSHIP.
This is a Freelance Writer Intern position for Journalism/English major (or other relevant fields of study) students responsible for gathering information, investigating and reporting on current events, and writing news pieces while presenting news in an honest and balanced manner. The ideal candidate must be capable of meeting regular and recurring deadlines, access leads and pitch captivating story ideas to editors, and keep up-to-date on the latest news developments by attending events, studying different papers, opinion pieces, and social media.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate for this position must be accountable, team driven, career-minded, and must display a passion for writing while working in often stressful environments. To excel in this role you should be friendly and extremely self-motivated to succeed. The individual selected must be working towards his/her undergraduate study in the field of English, journalism, or relevant field.
