The 48 Hour Film Project INC. is the largest and oldest timed film competition in the world. Held in over 150 cities all over the globe all over the year. 


The 48HFP consists of several film festivals, a large international world event called Filmapalooza, film communities all over the world, master classes, showcases and more. The 48HFP is dynamic, lively, fun, global.

Our team of marketers is hard-working and not afraid of wearing many hats. 



The 48HFP, the largest and oldest timed film competition in the world, is searching for a design intern to join our growing marketing and communications team. 

The ideal candidate has a pulse on evolving social media platforms and cultural and visual trends and is a motivated, inspired self-starter with a point of view on content design. 

The Design Intern would help forward our company's creative goals by working directly with the Marketing Strategists  providing support for the creation of designs with an emphasis on social media or others, as assigned. 

Candidates should have a solid grasp of various content formats (Gifs, Instagram stories, posts, etc.). Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and an eagerness to learn with hands-on experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can execute on ideas with little oversight, follows directions and constantly seeks opportunities to better themselves and their work. Ideally, this person would have a solid grasp on design thinking and utilize an iterative creative process. He or she needs to be self-motivated, able to move quickly on projects without sacrificing quality, have a keen eye for design, and à great attitude! We like working with people who want to bring their ideas forward!

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio of design work, demonstrating an understanding of visual story-telling
  • Desire to understand and learn more about the business of marketing, client goals and how to engage audiences with compelling visuals
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of all social media platforms
  • Experience using MailChimp a plus
  • Experience in video production (motion graphics, basic editing) is a Plus. 
  • Understand the elements of and can execute a successful social media post across platforms, inclusive of copy and visual
  • Available 20 hours per week
