Responsibilities:

As a Public Relations and Marketing Intern at Black Ivy Media, you will play a crucial role in promoting our content, finding potential sponsors, and engaging with the community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and identifying potential sponsors, partners, and collaborators for Black Ivy Media's projects.
  • Engaging with the community on social media platforms, forums, and events to raise awareness and foster engagement.
  • Creating and implementing marketing campaigns to promote our documentaries, podcasts, and other projects.
  • Seeking out opportunities for additional brand exposure, such as guest speaking on podcasts, panel discussions, and events.
  • Reviewing assets, including documentaries and podcasts, to identify opportunities for engagement and promotion.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop press releases for new and upcoming projects, ensuring accurate and compelling messaging.
  • Assisting in the coordination of events, promotions, and other marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility.
  • Contributing creative ideas to enhance the visibility and impact of Black Ivy Media's projects.
  • Providing insights and feedback on audience engagement and trends to improve our content strategy.


Requirements

Qualifications:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about media, marketing, and community engagement. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling press releases and engaging social media content.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and content promotion strategies.
  • A proactive and creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for brand exposure and engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • An interest in media, storytelling, and diverse cultural narratives.
  • Proficiency in using productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
