Position Overview:

Design & Production Shop Intern

Start Date Summer 2019

Minimum Education Junior or Senior College Students Majoring in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Marketing or Like Minded Field

Duration 16 weeks / 160 Hours

Hours per Week apprx. 10 hr

GPA Requirement 3.0

Rate of Pay Unpaid Position

Reports to: Managing Partners

Responsibilities

Rotating Role & Responsibilities:

• Daily Shop Maintenance – Cleanliness, Inventory Supplies, Assisting in Basic Equipment Maintenance

• PreFlight –Assist in such Activities as: Customer Relations, Brainstorming, Custom Client Design, Client Mock-up’s, Paper/Product Selection, Product/Inventory Ordering, Color Selections

• PrePress – Assist in such Activities as: Scheduling a life cycle of a project, Plate Preparation, Screen Maintenance

• Production – Intro to Screen Printing, Letterpress & Direct to Garment - Plate & Screen Registration, Direct to Garment Printing, Quality Control, Inventory Management

• Post Production – Order Fulfillment & Shipping

• Personal Portfolio Product – Design and Produce Self-Branded Product demonstrating the skills the student has gained from the internship
