Description

Village Volunteers is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Seattle that helps students find meaningful volunteer or internship opportunities with one of our partner organizations in Kenya, Ghana, India or Nepal. We work closely with each student to provide a placement matches their academic and professional goals. Our partner NGOs are lead by talented and inspirational community leaders who are making a difference at the grassroots level and we invite international volunteers to join them in finding sustainable solutions to community challenges.

Around the world, youth and women face specific obstacles that can make daily life especially stressful. Without an appropriate outlet, these experiences can take a toll on self-confidence.

Village Volunteers partners with community-based organizations in Africa and Asia that help youth and women work through challenges and build self-esteem, in safe, confidential and non-judgmental environments.

Through talk therapy, art therapy, writing, drama exercises, and other techniques, these programs allow youth and women to develop an understanding of their emotions and sense of self-worth.

Short or long term volunteer opportunities are available year round to be customized to your individual schedule.

We provide comprehensive preparation that includes an understanding of the culture and all considerations necessary for travel. The Village Volunteers program is true immersion done safely and responsibly.

Students will have a tailored internship or volunteer opportunity that will meet their goals and academic requirements. We provide ongoing support before and after a student's internship or volunteer service.
