THE DAILY GRIND SPORTS/EVENT MARKETING INTERNSHIP

The objective of the Daily Grind Sports Marketing Internship is to expose you to how a organization such as the Kelly Johnson Foundation is expanding sports marketing and communications and leveraging our omnichannel and growing the Daily Grind podcast in the process. You will be tasked as a part-time intern for the Fall 2023 term with the below responsibilities. 

This internship will prove to be an incredible experience for anyone going into sports and events marketing, business, public relations or communications fields. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the coordination and execution of the Daily Grind Podcast’s strategic sports marketing plan
  • Analyze consumer, market and channel data, and recommend strategies for growth
  • Collaborate with Strategy & Marketing team members on launching upcoming podcast programs and promotions
  • Assist in planning of speaking engagements and press releases with athletes and sports professionals
  • Support preparation of internal and external partnership communications
  • Reach out to potential brand and event partners on social media and email
  • Team collaboration in a virtual environment

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress.
  • Must be available to work 10-15 hours per week.
  • Must be legally able to work the US or Canada.

  • Strong passion for sports and seeking to work in the sports industry
  • Curious, confident and articulate
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Able to communicate effectively via e-mail and other means
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete projects on schedule and on budget
  • Analyze, organize, and problem solve frequently and efficiently
  • Desire to learn more about sports and athletic event marketing
  • Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
