The DC Spotlight Newspaper is searching for an intern in the role of social media representative/news writer/reporter to work locally or virtually on all social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to promote stories and events in the newspaper.
This is an unpaid position.

Requirements
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma and pursuing a college degree.
Must be committed to the entire semester for the internship. Internships are five months in the Spring and Fall and three months during the summer.
Must be proficiency with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
Must be an excellent writer with MS Word proficiency.
Must be knowledgeable of current news events and follow news coverage.
Must be proficient in using the internet and Google.
Must be available for 15 hour work weeks
