Job Description
Cross Roads C.A.C. is seeking talented writers with great communication skills and able to implement the New York Times Style. Interns must have strong writing, editing, interview, and research skills. The ability to Interns will work directly with the owner and other team members. Interns will be expected to plan, expand, and execute coverage of vast topics assigned. This is an unpaid internship, and we offer academic credits.

Cross Roads C.A.C is a non-profit organization located in the PUEDE Center, which is a new branch of services operating under the umbrella of Pico Union Housing Corporation (PUHC). Cross Roads C.A.C is a community based organization with a mission to develop and preserve affordable housing with an emphasis on residential ownership and to promote higher education among low income communities in the Pico Union district. The goal of Cross Roads C.A.C. is to assist the local constituents in creating wealth by developing programs and strategies that will increase their net worth.

During your internship you will be working on assignments with our nonprofit and partners.


- Full time internship only
- Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm
- May 28, 2019 to August 31, 2019
- You can start internship early
-Provide a portfolio or any recent projects if available

Our organization thrives off of the awareness spread through various social media outlets. Thus writers will be tasked to assist in the development and publish web content on a daily basis. You will be assigned to assist and even perhaps manage the content published for this purpose.

-Must have strong creative writing, research, communication skills
-Should have an interest in real estate and/or non-profit organizations
-Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Must be able to work independently.
-Able to commit at least 180 hours, and work full time (Remote work will be clarified during the interview)
