Job Overview
Benchmark is a global leader in providing comprehensive solutions across the entire product lifecycle. As an intern in manufacturing engineering, you will have the opportunity to assist with various tasks related to documentation, engineering changes, and process improvement.
Compensation
This is a part-time internship position.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the review of documents and engineering changes
- Support team members in meeting requirements such as good documentation practices and product traceability
- Update process data sheets as needed
- Assist manufacturing engineers and program managers as required
- Participate in problem-solving and CAPA processes
- Contribute to the metrology process
- Participate in internal process audits
- Collect and analyze statistical data as directed by quality engineers
Requirements
- Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge in using Solidworks and Excel
- Experience with PowerPoint and Agile
- Familiarity with process flow diagrams, statistical process control, 5S, failure mode and effects analysis, supplier-input-process-output-customer (SIPOC) diagrams, turtle diagrams, gage R&R, and problem-solving tools
- Currently enrolled in an engineering program (manufacturing, industrial, mechanical)
