Job Overview

The internships can last from 12 weeks to 12 months and provide valuable experience for educational and professional growth. Duties will vary based on the department and/or office in which the intern is placed.

Compensation

Salary: $0 - $0 without compensation

Responsibilities

  • Monitor legislation introduced in Congress pertinent to DFC
  • Report on Congressional hearings
  • Assist Legislive Affairs staff with research for Congressional engagements
  • Assist in keeping Legislive Affairs records and tracking systems up to date
  • Research and provide suggested content for written materials for external audiences
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled (at least part-time) in an accredited college or university
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be pursuing a major in international relations, political science, communications, or economics/finance
  • Successful completion of a background investigation is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
