Job Overview
DFC, ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in 2022, offers unpaid internships year-round in Washington, D.C. The internships can last from 12 weeks to 12 months and provide valuable experience for educational and professional growth. Duties will vary based on the department and/or office in which the intern is placed.
Compensation
Salary: $0 - $0 without compensation
Responsibilities
- Monitor legislation introduced in Congress pertinent to DFC
- Report on Congressional hearings
- Assist Legislive Affairs staff with research for Congressional engagements
- Assist in keeping Legislive Affairs records and tracking systems up to date
- Research and provide suggested content for written materials for external audiences
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled (at least part-time) in an accredited college or university
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be pursuing a major in international relations, political science, communications, or economics/finance
- Successful completion of a background investigation is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
