Job Overview

  • Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is seeking rising 2L and 3L law student interns for its Public Policy Litigation and Law Department.
  • Full-time position for the summer of 2024.
  • Remote work option available.
  • PPFA engages in impact litigation, strategic legal advice, and advocacy in the area of reproductive rights.

Compensation

  • Final offers for this job will be based on capabilities and will be made within the parameters of the PPFA compensation program.
  • Total offer package includes generous vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
  • Individual/family provided medical, dental, and vision benefits from day 1.
  • Life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave, and 401k.
  • Voluntary opt-in for Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Transportation/Commuter accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist PPFA attorneys with various litigation responsibilities.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft memoranda, pleadings, affidavits, and briefs.
  • Support factual development for ongoing or developing litigation.
  • Communicate with clients.

Requirements

  • Rising 2L or 3L law students preferred.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
  • Strong interest in reproductive rights and justice, health law, racial and economic justice, and/or public interest law.
  • Applicants are encouraged to seek outside funding, but PPFA may provide funding if necessary.
