Job Overview
- Design of product tooling and test fixtures, running engineering tests, part inspection, failure analysis, and process characterization
- Meet with production technicians, internal customers, or other engineers to understand production requirements, objectives, timelines, and project tasks
- Assist with or coordinate communications within the plant; projects are specific in scope or by segment, more clearly defined, and involve closer oversight
- Participate in design, process, and continuous improvement projects that impact limited production function
- Work within objectives and timelines, and involves engineering or production personnel as required to complete tasks

Responsibilities
- Design of product tooling and test fixtures, running engineering tests, part inspection, failure analysis, and process characterization
- Meet with production technicians, internal customers, or other engineers to understand production requirements, objectives, timelines, and project tasks
- Assist with or coordinate communications within the plant; projects are specific in scope or by segment, more clearly defined, and involve closer oversight

Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program
- Sophomore level completed toward an engineering degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, or other related program
- Familiarity with analysis tools and test/inspection hardware and software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and other applicable applications including 3D CAD packages (SolidWorks, ProE, or similar)
- Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week during school after full-time summer hours are complete
- Experience responding to and resolving questions and concerns
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed individual who works well under moderate level of supervision and takes pride in their work
- Project management, organizational, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
