Job Overview

The Client Development - Marketing Communications Internship at Husch Blackwell LLP in St. Louis, MO provides a valuable learning opportunity in marketing, business development, and communications strategy within a legal setting. As an intern, you will assist a team of Client Development professionals with research, data cleanup, metrics reporting, email marketing, social media, and client engagement. This paid summer internship offers exposure to various technology platforms and the chance to attend team meetings, receive feedback, and participate in weekly mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with CRM and team workflow, including introduction to InterAction, database cleanup and contact research, social media research and support, social media coordination, and post writing, and Wrike workflow
  • Support client foundation dashboard and responsive proposals tool, including assistance with document management and uploading
  • Learn about marketing project management, including timelines, resource planning, and SOPs
  • Contribute to metrics research, reporting, and PR activities, including PR, email, and lead gen and engagement scoring
  • Participate in a schedule of 20 hours per week, working on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (with a 30-minute lunch break) and on Wednesday from 9:00am to 1:30pm (with a 30-minute lunch break)

Requirements

  • Coursework in English, creative writing, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • Preferred: Upper-level college student or recent college graduate
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to write clearly, succinctly, and accurately
  • Excellent research and data organization abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and PC platforms
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Familiarity with CRMs, database management, Adobe Suite, project management tools, and/or e-marketing software is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional appearance
