Job Overview
Nucor, a Fortune 100 company and North America's leader in designing, manufacturing, and recycling steel and steel products, is offering a Rotating Summer Internship in Sales & Operations. This unique program will provide valuable hands-on experience in the scrap metal recycling business, allowing interns to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry and explore potential career paths.
Compensation
- $20/hr
- $250 weekly housing stipend
Responsibilities
- Learn scrap metal material identification and safety protocols
- Gain exposure to daily operations, supply chain, and logistics
- Shadow experienced commercial teammates to develop customer relationship skills
- Participate in staff meetings and strategic planning
- Work on a summer-long project with a final presentation
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region
- Desire to work in a hands-on, industrial environment
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with team members effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
