Job Overview

At Trane TechnologiesTM, we are dedicated to creating innovative climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. As a Biomedical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to support Helmer Scientific, a part of Trane Technologies Life Sciences Portfolio. Helmer Scientific specializes in designing, integrating, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing specialized medical and laboratory equipment globally. In this role, you will contribute to various projects, including data capture and analysis, technology exploration, part design and optimization, packaging design, product documentation, and product test and data acquisition.

Compensation

Base Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Work on projects involving data capture and analysis
  • Explore new technologies relevant to biomedical engineering
  • Design and optimize parts for medical and laboratory equipment
  • Collaborate on packaging design for specialized equipment
  • Create product documentation
  • Conduct product tests and acquire data
  • Work Arrangements: On-site at our Noblesville, Indiana location

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Biomedical Engineering degree (sophomore level or above)
  • Availability to work 8am-5pm, 5 days per week
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with 3D CAD/Inventor
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective communication skills
