Job Overview

  • CareFirst runs a year-round internship program. The ideal candidate is someone who can commit to work throughout the year - part-time up to 15-20 hours in the Spring/Fall-full-time 40 hours in the Summer. We have an opportunity for an internship opening and are seeking for a candidate with passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to our projects and work closely with senior developers.

Responsibilities

  • Explore Joget features and actively involved in developing web applications on Joget DX Platform.
  • Support Development team in design, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and other systems using HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript and other database resources.
  • Closely work with Business Analysts and other teams to define process, user interface requirements.
  • Assist users with service access requests, troubleshoot problems and provide technical assistance.
  • Gather data and prepare reports on user access and service level agreements.
  • Assist in monitoring user access to applications and databases.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as instructed by the manager/ supervisor.

Requirements

  • MUST BE BASED IN DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
  • Acquire working knowledge of CareFirst claim processing and Bridge Solution.
  • Gain hands-on experiences with variety of software platforms and applications.
  • Opportunity to shadow knowledgeable professionals in real-world IT settings.
  • Acquire technical skills in web application development, especially on the Joget DX Platform.
