OMB Analyst Intern

Nashville, TN

Job Overview

This is a paid internship experience with the Office of Management and Budget in the Finance Department at Metro Nashville.

Compensation

  • Salary: $15.00 Hourly

Responsibilities

  • Research best practices and complete proposals for Metro.
  • Conduct on-site visits with analysts for exposure to analyst role & Metro Government.
  • Attend staff & departmental meetings with budget analysts.
  • Engage with other divisions of the Finance Department.
  • Assist with revenue manual and annual budget book.
  • Review current literature and research topics.
  • Conduct data analysis and assist team members with assigned tasks.
  • Assist with administrative needs.
  • Assist with office relocation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma, with interest in a career in public finance or related discipline. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • License Required: None
  • Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
