Compensation

  • Our current step and column teacher salary scale ranges from $56,938 - $108,518, based on education and experience. (Visit to learn more, as well as to obtain an estimate of your potential salary.)     • 10 days of paid time off during the school year for personal illness/injury (a portion of which may be used for personal necessity)
    • 25 days of paid time off during the school year for our Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks (which include the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays) as well as an additional 6 annual paid holidays (MLK Day, President's Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Veteran's Day)

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit and uphold Green Dot core values
  • Create a culture of learning in your classroom
  • Engage in data-driven planning and assessment of student learning
  • Establish a culture of respect and rapport with the students which supports the students' emotional safety
  • Facilitate rigorous learning by delivering cognitively engaging lessons that incorporate our instructional methodologies
  • Engage in critical reflection, constantly revising practice to increase effectiveness
  • Participate in a professional community across your school site and the Green Dot network
  • Develop partnerships within the community by communicating with families and bringing to bear resources that support student success in college, leadership, and life

Requirements

  • As an ideal candidate, you:
    • have a bachelor's degree (required)
    • have a growth mindset and love of learning
    • have met the California Basic Skills requirement
    • hold (or will hold by July 2023) a valid California Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject or Single Subject credential OR you are eligible (or will be eligible by July 2023) for a CA Single Subject Intern credential
    • Applicants with a preliminary or clear multiple-subject credential are eligible for hire. However, Green Dot will require that you obtain a Single Subject credential/authorization by June 30, 2024.
  • NOTE: Before applying, those with an out-of-state credential or no credential should visit the to determine their eligibility to teach in a California public school as of July 2023.
  • have strong content knowledge, pedagogical understanding, and the capacity to plan and deliver instruction to meet the needs of students

  • will need to pass a TB test and background check at the time of offer
  • will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (submission of proof of vaccination will be required)
