Job Overview
The Hayward Unified School District is committed to educational equity, creating engaging and equitable educational experiences for students. As a Youth Intervention Specialist, you will design and implement programs to help students overcome learning barriers and assist them and their families in making educational and behavioral plans.
Compensation
- Salary: DOE (Depends on Experience)
Responsibilities
- Assist students in developing appropriate behavior patterns for school and life settings
- Develop personalized programs based on individual student needs
- Provide individual and small group social/emotional counseling/therapy
- Provide crisis intervention and connect students to appropriate agencies
- Assist with student support programs and school-wide activities
- Design and provide specialty workshops for youth training and positive peer support
Requirements
- California Teaching Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential
- California Administrative Credential
- School Psychologist credential preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in instructional leadership or intervention/support models
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
