Job Overview

BNSF Railway Company is seeking Engineering Summer Interns for the summer of 2024. As an intern at BNSF, you will have the opportunity to work on real-life, impactful assignments that will put your skills and education into practice. This paid internship program is designed to identify students who will be hired as full-time Management Trainees after graduation. During your internship, you will have the chance to network with peers, Business Resource Groups, and Senior Leaders throughout the BNSF network.

Compensation

  • Position range in Albuquerque MSA: $67k - $139k per year

Responsibilities

  • Gain experience in various departments such as Track, Engineering Services, Structures, Signal, Mechanical, Transportation, and Environmental
  • Support ongoing projects and complete on-the-job field training at assigned training locations
  • Shadow positions to gain boots-on-the-ground experience
  • Travel extensively throughout a large geographic region

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
