Job Overview
- Full-time position at Yale New Haven Health
- Integration and maintenance work on medical equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot problems with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer-based technology
- Provide training to colleagues, vendors, and other personnel
- Attend clinical education sessions to educate staff, students, and others
Compensation
- Full-time position
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair medical equipment using manuals and specifications
- Serve as a resource for front-line patient care areas and contracting departments
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of orientation materials for new hires
Requirements
- Certification and/or proven record of training in the maintenance of technologically advanced equipment
- Associate's degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, biomedical, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of technologically advanced equipment
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience or internship in related field
- Proficiency in electronic schematics, blueprints, troubleshooting manuals, and phone communication
- Flexibility in scheduling based on hospital needs
- Knowledge and daily use of safety policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively lead others and handle high-pressure situations
