Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, data architects, domain experts, data analysts, and other teams to translate business requirements into metrics and models.
• Contribute to the research, design, and development of AI-powered features to enhance user experience.
• Rapidly iterate and develop machine learning models for the ongoing features.
• Clean, transform, and load data, as well as extract features for storage.
• Support the ML lifecycle management infrastructure using AWS Sagemaker.
• Participate in architecture and code reviews.
• Identify and document best practices.
• Stay updated on innovations in machine learning, data science, and AI fairness.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand feature requirements and map them to appropriate ML models.
• Extract actionable insights from data to answer open-ended questions.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a BS or MS program in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Must be attending a College/University in the U.S.
• Deep knowledge in one or more of machine learning, deep learning, personalization, NLP, language models, or ranking.
• Experience in building and prototyping machine learning models and algorithms, as well as working with large datasets.
• Proficient in Python (e.g., numpy, scikit-learn, tensorflow, pytorch, keras, huggingface) for implementing machine learning models and algorithms.
• Proficient in shell scripting, SQL, and Unix/Linux command-line tools.
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to multiple audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Track record of delivering high-impact projects in multifaceted settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with big data analytics tools and distributed systems, such as Apache Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with other AWS services, including Redshift, S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.
