Job Overview
- The San Mateo County Attorney's Office is accepting applications for the Michael P. Murphy Public Law Fellowship.
- This fellowship provides training and experience for new attorneys to advise and litigate on behalf of government agencies.
- Attorneys in this office are generalists, providing legal advice, litigating civil cases, and managing calendar assignments in various areas of law.
- Fellows will have the opportunity to work on impact litigation and public policy projects.
Compensation
- Salary: $111,876.00 - $153,374.00 Annually
Responsibilities
- Receive training and experience in advising and litigating on behalf of government agencies.
- Provide legal advice to County departments, school districts, and special districts.
- Litigate civil cases in State and Federal courts and before administrative agencies.
- Manage calendar assignments in various areas of law.
- Work on impact litigation and public policy projects.
Requirements
- Recent law school graduates or judicial clerks are encouraged to apply.
- Law school graduates sitting for the 2024 July Bar Exam are encouraged to apply.
- Must submit a resume, cover letter, writing sample, unofficial transcript, and a list of references.
