Job Overview

The Institute for Creative and Collaborative Arts: Art, Communication, Music, and Design at Eastern Kentucky University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Broadcasting and Electronic Media. The position will begin in August of 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory to upper-level courses in broadcasting, video and film production, and/or cinema history
  • Assist in the development and operation of a new undergraduate BFA program in Documentary Film and Television
  • Engage in continuing scholarly/creative activities
  • Perform service and provide leadership within the department/college/university and in the community and/or profession

Requirements

  • Education: Terminal degree in broadcasting, journalism, film, media arts, documentary and television production, or related field
  • Experience: University-level teaching experience
  • Preferred: Three years professional experience in related field
