Job Overview

Our Insurance Consulting and Technology business seeks an Actuarial Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects related to product development, financial and risk management, financial modeling, software implementation, and mergers and acquisitions for insurance companies. This role offers exposure to a variety of insurance operations and the chance to work alongside industry-leading consultants.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $30.00 - $37.00/hr (depending on exam progress)
  • Overtime eligible

Responsibilities

  • Assist with pricing, valuation, and development of insurance products
  • Develop financial projections for clients' insurance business
  • Follow the firm's guidelines for excellence
  • Seek and participate in learning and development opportunities
  • Build relationships internally and with client representatives
  • Document, review, and present your work
  • Assist in creating project plans
  • Monitor project progress against deadlines and budget

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field with significant quantitative coursework (minimum overall GPA of 3.0)
  • Graduating between December 2023 and June 2025
  • Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams preferred
  • Work or extracurricular experience demonstrating technical skills, client service skills, and leadership
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
