Job Overview

Tampa, Florida based engineering firm is seeking a self-motivated Geotechnical Engineer (EIT or PE) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits/perks.

Compensation

  • Salary: $50,000-80,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Development of scope of subsurface exploration and laboratory testing programs
  • Supervision of subsurface exploration
  • Physical soil classification and review of laboratory results
  • Geotechnical engineering analyses and design
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and proposals
  • Project Management
  • Assist on Construction Materials Testing and Inspection Projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • BS, MS preferred, in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
  • Registered Florida Professional Engineer (PE) is a strong plus, but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
