Job Overview
Kraemer North America (Kraemer) is seeking a self-motivated and energetic Field Engineer Intern to join our Pacific West Region in the Seattle, WA area. This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering, who have a passion for learning about the highway-heavy industry.
Compensation
Hiring Range: $20/hour; Final wage is dependent on multiple factors: education, experience, skills, market rates, internal equity, and/or location.
Responsibilities
- Help oversee and implement Kraemer's Safety Program to ensure the safe execution of construction projects and protection of Kraemer personnel
- Ensure Quality is built into all Kraemer construction operations through planning, project document control, and field quality control inspections
- Assist with overall construction management operations, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and/or Kraemer self-perform work
- Support engineering design and implementation by recognizing and responding to construction issues
- Measure and track quantities, understand project expenditures, and prepare project cost reports
- Assist foremen and superintendents with construction activities, layout, and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with project owners, inspectors, and stakeholders
- Attend Kraemer University courses for career development and growth
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Passion for safety and construction
- Previous experience working with construction software preferred
- Previous experience working with AGTEK/Auto CAD preferred
