Job Overview
As a Business Operations Accounting Intern at Disney Media Distribution (DMD), you will have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative team and culture. DMD is the international television distribution division of The Walt Disney Company, licensing over 30,000 hours of programming to broadcasters worldwide. In this role, you will contribute to the royalty reporting process, partner with analysts, and assist in system testing. Join us and gain valuable experience in the media and entertainment industry.
Compensation
- Pay rate: $21.70 per hour
- Duration: January 2024 through June 2024
- Full-time hours (40 hours per week)
- Hybrid position: Requires own housing, reliable transportation in the Glendale, CA area, working internet connection, and dedicated workspace
Responsibilities
- Summarize royalty reporting information from over 250 customers and load data into the royalty tracking system
- Partner with analysts to update royalty tracking sheets, follow up with customers for delinquent reporting, and ensure accuracy of reports
- Assist in processing royalty reports for quarter close process
- Support testing of system outputs for additional customers
- Conduct product title mapping review and research
- Prepare weekly KPI report on product title mapping
- Conduct anomaly research using QlikView dashboard
Requirements
(Basic Qualifications)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Self-motivated
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interest in media and entertainment
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous internship experience in the entertainment industry
(Required Education)
- Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or related field
(Preferred Education)
- GPA of 3.3 or higher
