Job Overview

  • Seeking an Assistant Dean to serve in the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSK)
  • Responsible for the Clinical and Translational Cancer Research M.S. Program, summer undergraduate research programs, and the Diversity Initiatives and Student Affairs Committee
  • Develop and manage training programs across the biomedical pipeline
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and collaborative team

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $107,400.00-$171,800.00

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the Clinical and Translational Cancer Research (CTCR) program, training MD scholars in clinical research
  • Develop and sustain program goals and outcomes
  • Assist with the maintenance and renewal of the K12 grant supporting the CTCR program
  • Plan and direct the GSK summer undergraduate research program
  • Lead the Committee on Diversity Initiatives and Student Affairs
  • Collaborate with students and faculty to improve the GSK community and training environment

Requirements

  • Master's degree in biomedical related sciences, healthcare, or academic administration
  • 8 years of proven experience in academic administration at the graduate or medical school level
  • Demonstrated experience working with faculty to build and/or run academic programs
  • Knowledge of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policies in higher education
  • Experience with large education grants from federal agencies
  • Doctorate degree is helpful
