Job Overview

The Advanced Analytics team at Chamberlain is seeking enthusiastic data engineering interns to build and maintain big data pipelines for advanced analytics and data science solutions. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with data scientists to wrangle data, develop new solutions, and present your findings to Chamberlain's Executive Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain optimal data pipelines into the advanced analytics platform
  • Collaborate with data scientists to prepare data for model development
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of machine learning methods
  • Translate business needs into scalable data engineering solutions
  • Ensure the sustainability of production applications and reports
  • Create documentation and training materials for end-user understanding
  • Communicate results and findings to stakeholders and Chamberlain's Executive Leadership Team

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Must be able to work from our Oak Brook, IL office 3 days a week
  • Experience building data pipelines and datasets
  • Proficiency in Python, Pandas, and Spark
  • Knowledge of SQL and working with structured and unstructured data
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
