Job Overview

The Consumer Service Operations Representative Intern at Humana performs daily activities across multiple service function areas, supporting the Dental Business Group Operations team. As an intern, you will utilize your training and previously acquired skillsets to support installation, implementation, client support, client services, client administration, customer service, enrollment, eligibility, claims processing, and call center operations. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize requests.

Compensation

The compensation range for this internship is $31,200 - $85,100 per year, based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.

Responsibilities

• Pull daily kick out reports and update Other Insurance (OI) manually
• Handle incoming scanned mail by reviewing and routing items as necessary
• Track and distribute incoming emails to team members
• Fulfill requests for provider lists, benefits, and ID cards
• Shadow various parts of the Humana organization to gain a holistic understanding of their work, including dental claims processing, Medicare dental grievance and appeals, workforce management, dental member and provider calls, dental subject matter experts, and provider network operations

Requirements

• Transitioning Service Member eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program, or Military Spouse eligible to participate in the Military Spouse Fellowship Program
• Minimum 3 years' varied experience in team leadership, customer service, and using Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize competing needs
• Working knowledge of computers and ability to quickly learn new technology
