Job Overview
Sunoco, L.P., the nation's largest fuel distribution company, is looking for an intern to join our fast-paced, high impact supply and trading team in Philadelphia. Wholesale distribution is our key focus. In addition to our premier Sunoco fuel brand, we distribute more than 10 fuel brands to approximately 10,000 convenience stores across the United States.
Compensation
This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2024. You must be currently enrolled in college pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree. (This opportunity does not include relocation or living stipend.)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with team members and executives to learn Sunoco's Fuel Business.
- Develop metrics and provide reports for business optimization and monitoring; use analysis to help identify potential opportunities.
- Assist with management of asset and customer data for integration of new business into Sunoco systems.
- Meet and work with various team members to learn the ins and outs of corporate environment.
- Review data, such as expenses, fuel margins and prices, to identify exceptions, report key metrics, and develop corrective actions.
- Review fuel market data and help develop tools for analysis and monitoring.
- Perform project work to support one or several of the following Commercial teams: Fuel Pricing, Fuel Supply, Logistics, Trading, Midstream, Quality, and Systems Setup.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in college majoring in technical area such as Engineering, Finance, or Applied Science.
- Analytical skills and aptitude to learn new systems.
- Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferably junior status as of Fall 2024
- Above average GPA
