Job Overview

Good Shepherd Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Work Supervisor for our Functional Family Therapy - Therapeutic Case Management Program in Brooklyn. This program aims to help families facing child welfare-related challenges repair and improve family relationships, ensuring the safety and well-being of children. As a Social Work Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and case management services provided by the staff to ensure adherence to program specifications and agency standards.

Compensation

  • Full-time position
  • Exempt status

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the program
  • Manage and supervise the implementation of clinical services, ensuring treatment fidelity to the FFT-TCM model
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders and engage with families to promote success
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise staff at various levels
  • Conduct home visits, safety conferences, court hearings, and counseling sessions as needed
  • Respond to requests for data and case information
  • Connect participants to other GSS programs and services when necessary
  • Represent program needs and perspectives at required meetings and trainings
  • Handle case-related crises professionally and with care

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work or related clinical field
  • LMSW candidates highly encouraged to apply
  • Two years of supervisory experience in child welfare or clinical setting preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and clinical skills
  • Availability to work 1-2 evenings per week for supervisory support
  • Commitment to strength-based, trauma-informed, and youth and family development perspectives
  • Familiarity with FFT model is a plus
