Job Overview
PAVE Academy Red Hook is seeking an ENL Coordinator to work with Emergent Bilingual students in our K-8 school. The ENL Coordinator will provide direct instruction and support English language development across all grade levels. They will collaborate with teachers to ensure English language acquisition in all content areas. The ENL Coordinator will report to the Middle School Dean of Student Support Services.

Responsibilities
- Provide in-classroom support for Emergent Bilingual students
- Maintain communication with families to update them on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers to develop tools and resources for ELL instruction
- Provide direct ENL instruction to small groups of students
- Utilize assessment data to support student language development
- Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment
- Build relationships with students and families
- Support administration with diagnostic and state mandated assessments
- Ensure compliance with regulations related to Emergent Bilingual students
Requirements
- Deep passion for ENL education and academic discipline
- Completed or currently taking ENL teaching related courses
- TESOL certification preferred
- Ability to create a safe and supportive classroom environment
- Commitment to setting and achieving ambitious goals
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Growth mindset and ability to learn from feedback
- Spanish proficiency preferred but not required
