Job Overview

Empower Global Inc is seeking a part-time Administrative and Grant Writing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide administrative support, assist with grant writing and research, and help coordinate events and programs. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful community-driven initiatives and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations.

Compensation

-$16 - $18 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general office tasks, including data entry, filing, and maintaining records for our various programs and initiatives.
  • Manage correspondence and communication, responding to inquiries and redirecting messages to the appropriate team members.
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for the team, ensuring efficient time management.
  • Collaborate with program leads to help organize events, workshops, and programs, ensuring smooth logistics and participant engagement.
  • Collaborate with the team to research potential grant opportunities that align with Empower Global's mission and programs.
  • Assist in preparing compelling grant proposals, working closely with program leads to ensure alignment with grant guidelines and requirements.
  • Help maintain a grants calendar, tracking submission deadlines and requirements for each application.
  • Support the preparation of grant reports and updates by researching and gathering relevant data.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, allowing for seamless administration and coordination of events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, crucial for effective correspondence and grant writing.
  • Detail-oriented approach to maintain accurate records and ensure grant proposals are error-free.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer applications, essential for various administrative tasks.
  • Strong research skills, enabling the identification of suitable grant opportunities and relevant data.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative, crucial for both administrative and grant-related tasks.
  • Prior experience in grant writing, research, or event coordination is a plus but not mandatory.
