Job Overview

• Perform basic job duties that ensure vendors get paid for services and products rendered
• Review and process invoices, audit credit card statements, reconcile statements, and process 1099's
• Work with limited supervision to complete tasks within time constraints
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Management for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union

Compensation

• Hourly Wage: $18.60/hr

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Everwise Credit Union Accounts Payable functions and variance reporting
• Evaluate procedures used to perform job duties within the Accounts Payable department and interrelated areas
• Document workflow processes as they change or as new processes are added while directing staff through the implementations
• Communicate with external vendors and internal business units regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process
• Research information to provide accurate and timely solutions to internal clients and vendors
• Maintain systems on an ongoing basis, including profiles, addresses, tax ID, W-9, and payment methods
• Generate payment to vendors on a routine schedule and match the check with backup for review by the financial manager
• Inspect paid and unpaid invoices including cleared payment inquiries and check voiding to maintain accurate files and records
• Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization, as well as sufficient contracts and documentation
• Look up Vendor details, update Vendor Master listing, organize W-9's, and assist in entering invoice requests

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in College or University
• Performs work under general supervision
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
• A broad knowledge and practical understanding of the interrelationship of the Credit Union departments, services, philosophy, and Service Expectations are preferred
