Job Overview

Our learning center in Little Neck is seeking a part-time after school teaching assistant who is energetic, responsible, and loves working with kids.

Compensation

  • Pay: From $20 an hour
  • Job Type: Part-time, Contract, Internship
  • Shift and Schedule: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of After School Tutors and Teaching Assistants may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with children between the ages of 5 to 13
  • Assisting with ELA and/or Reading & Writing using our learning materials
  • Checking students' school homework
  • No lesson planning required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, some college or relevant degree preferred
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an afterschool environment
  • This position runs from September 2022 to June 2023
  • Ability to assist with ELA/Math homework from K to 8th grade
  • Should bring energy to the classroom and be very personable
  • Fluent in Mandarin and Korean is a plus
