Job Overview

United Fray is offering an internship to college students interested in pursuing a career in human resource management, sports management, sports operations, customer experience, and permitting. We are looking for interns who can spend a minimum of 20 hours a week working with our sports team during the day and/or in the evenings. If you have a passion for adult social sports and are interested in the complete lifecycle of working in sports, then this internship is for you!

Compensation

  • Internship Information: Full-time & part-time interns receive a monthly stipend over their time with United Fray/DC Fray, in addition to school credit hours
  • We also offer additional pay to interns who host, ref, and/or work certain events during their time at United Fray/DC Fray
  • Interns must work a minimum of 20 hours per week to receive the stipend

Responsibilities

  • Working with the staffing team in reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and assisting with hosting staff training
  • Working with the sports team on daily tasks assigned such as answering emails, confirming permits, organizing equipment for nightly drops, etc.
  • Work with the permits manager on projects associated with our partnerships with The Fields at the RFK campus
  • Helping staff leagues as a subs when needed
  • Updating rules and regulations for league sports via print and online
  • Helping conduct staff evaluations
  • Create training tools that will be used to train new and veteran staff

Requirements

  • Interested in a career in Sport Management, Human Resource Management, Sports Operations, etc.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, go-getter attitude
  • Willing to work sometimes long/odd hours during the week
  • Experience with social sports
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Able to work remotely and in our office located in Northeast DC's Brentwood/Ivy City neighborhood
