Job Overview

The Entertainment Analytics team at Walt Disney Studios is seeking a Project Analyst Intern for Spring 2024. This internship offers the opportunity to learn how Disney leverages analytical tools to create memorable experiences for guests from around the world. As an intern, you will provide analytical and consulting support to all areas within the Disney Live Entertainment organization.

Responsibilities

  • Handle project assignments autonomously to identify, develop, and analyze productivity/process improvement opportunities within Entertainment
  • Conduct data analysis projects from idea to implementation using statistical techniques and Industrial Engineering skills
  • Lead projects that require building relationships with Cast Members and management
  • Assist with project management by conducting research, analyzing data, and building presentations
  • Collect data and identify metrics to quantify Entertainment performance
  • Conduct productivity studies for workload planning and efficiency improvement
  • Forecast impacts to the Guest experience when the Entertainment portfolio is modified
  • Facilitate comparative analysis of metrics for global Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
  • Build relationships and interact with all levels of Cast Members
  • Studies may include working outdoors and standing for extended periods

Requirements

  • Internship or work experience in an analytical, problem-solving, or process improvement role
  • Experience handling multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn new software applications and analytical tools
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically
  • Proficiency with Excel including pivot tables, statistical functions, and lookup formulas
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student earning a college/university degree in Industrial Engineering, Entertainment/Costuming Business, Project Management, or a related analytical field
