Job Overview

ASML US is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern to support the BI&A team in collecting, analyzing, and translating data into valuable business insights. In this role, you will work with cross-functional data sources and utilize leading analytics tools to optimize ASML's planning operations. Note that this position requires access to controlled technology, and candidates must be legally authorized to access such technology.

Responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Generating business insights by translating data into visuals, reports, and dashboards
  • Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns
  • Using leading analytics tools and technologies to gain an in-depth understanding of structured and unstructured data
  • Presenting and explaining analytical problems, approach, results, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Supporting the development and documentation of new reporting, modeling, and analysis tools for efficient business planning & operations processes
  • Formatting and interpreting data, analyzing and validating results, and developing reports with enhanced visuals
  • Assisting in the implementation of company and department projects
  • Supporting analysis and development of business requirements
  • Contributing ideas and data analyses to complex projects
  • Contributing to database design and development
  • Participating in the development of an end-to-end data pipeline to improve existing data analytics processes

Requirements

  • Studying towards a degree in Software Development, Data Analytics, Computer/Data Science, or related field
  • Manipulating, interpreting, and creating knowledge from data, with experience in creating charts and dashboards
  • Demonstrated experience with Dashboard creation or data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL development
  • Ability to work independently and/or with limited direction
  • Curiosity and desire to dig into data and processes to find answers and opportunities for improvements
  • Strong communication skills, able to summarize data concisely and present in front of people, including upper management
