Job Overview
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern to provide support for new product development and factory activities. This is a full-time training position in Anaheim, CA.
Compensation

Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan
- Execute verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification
- Conduct design analysis and testing, both structural and thermal
- Generate and process engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Collaborate with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation
- Support installation coordination for maritime structures and mechanical systems
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with CAD or analysis tools and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis
- Working knowledge of transducer instrumentation, data collection, and automation
- Ability to apply principles of structural mechanics and generate free body diagrams
- Familiarity with programming languages and finite element methods
