Job Overview

TikTok is seeking an Information Security Engineer Intern for the 2024 Summer internship program. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to join the Security Assurance team and gain hands-on experience in program analysis techniques, security assessments, and software engineering. This internship offers a unique chance to work on cutting-edge security projects and contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $45
  • Medical insurance coverage: 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern after 90 days from hire date (medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage)
  • Time off and leave plans: Paid holidays and paid sick leave (sick leave entitlement based on the time you join)

Responsibilities

  • Expand existing program analysis toolchain by implementing widely adopted techniques and state-of-the-art ideas.
  • Conduct fuzzing engine experimentation and performance improvements.
  • Enhance static analysis checkers and frameworks used within TikTok.
  • Benchmark and analyze performance of tools and techniques for automated vulnerability discovery.
  • Develop and maintain systems and infrastructure for program analysis automation.
  • Give tech talks and demos to the team on your project.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in Digital Forensics, Cyber or Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Able to commit to a 12-week Summer 2024 internship.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: C/C++, Golang, Python, JS/TypeScript, Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system security.
  • Self-driven and capable of applying theoretical concepts in practice.
  • Must have work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and throughout the internship.
