Job Overview
- Part-time actuarial internship with the possibility of hybrid or remote work during the school year based on proximity to an office.
- Ameritas is a trusted financial company that offers various financial products and guidance to help people achieve a fulfilling life.
- As an Actuarial Intern, you will support the actuarial function and staff by performing analyses, calculations, and participating in projects.
Compensation
- This is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities
- Gather and prepare data for analysis.
- Participate in programming, preparation, and interpretation of actuarial reports.
- Contribute to projects related to product development, management, financial reporting, and reinsurance.
- Develop new ideas to enhance the department's performance.
- Adhere to internal controls necessary for job functions and administrative activities.
Requirements
- Ability to complete an 18-24 month internship as a student.
- Willingness to participate in an annual rotational program across different Actuarial departments.
- Actively pursuing an Actuarial degree program.
- Completed or enrolled in Interest Theory (or equivalent) OR passed 1 Society of Actuaries exam.
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong mathematical skills are essential.
- Starting from the second school year, students must pass at least one Actuarial exam each academic year.
