Job Overview
Join Wipfli LLP as an Accounting Intern for the Spring 2025 term. As part of our inclusive culture, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax and/or audit work while working alongside professionals from all levels of the firm. This internship will provide you with the skills and knowledge to become a trusted business advisor and make a difference in the accounting field.

Responsibilities
- Utilize educational knowledge and experience to perform accounting related responsibilities
- Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely and professional manner
- Use data analysis skills to provide support in making recommendations
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance process efficiency
NOTE: Interns will receive experience in both tax AND audit if possible
Tax Specific:
- Prepare tax returns and projections in accordance with firm and professional standards
- Use current tax and accounting software applications effectively
- Conduct tax-related research
Audit Specific:
- Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures
- Communicate with engagement leaders regarding important matters
- Prepare financial statements and footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs
- Develop technical competency with GAAP
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (completion of a taxation class required)
- Above average competency in accounting as demonstrated by college GPA (preferred GPA 3.0 or higher)
- Working towards eligibility to sit for CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits)
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to think independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong prioritization and deadline management abilities
