Intern - Landscape Architecture

Job Overview
Halff is seeking an Intern for our Landscape Architecture team in our Houston, TX office. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team on various landscape architectural projects, including park design, urban enhancements, and land development. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of projects.
Compensation
Interns are paid hourly and will work full-time (40 hours/week), typically Monday through Friday, for the summer of 2024.
Responsibilities
- Provide landscape architectural and planning project support.
- Work directly with landscape architects and project managers.
- Participate in site inventory and analysis.
- Assist with project research and data compilation.
- Produce conceptual site planning and graphics.
- Develop quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Assist with technical specification preparation.
- Produce landscape compliance documents.
- Create maps and graphic renderings for planning projects.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture.
- Interest in site analysis and conceptual design.
- Interest in construction documents.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
- Strong design and graphic skills.
- Previous knowledge or interest in learning industry software applications (AutoCAD, Land F/X, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Lumion, MicroStation, ArcGIS).
